Santa Barbara and Father's Day

This past weekend we made a trip to Santa Barbara to help Sam move, and also to celebrate father's day with dad (Glen). We were sad to not have Walt and Emili there with us, but Madison is due to arrive in the next few weeks, so they stayed home and dog sat all the dogs; thank you you two. Sam recently completed her first term in college and has a couple week break in between. Sam is also moving places out in Santa Barbara but can't move in for a couple weeks, so we helped her move home. We had a great time in Santa Barbara. The weather was beautiful and sites were awesome. We had a great time.

Back at home, we celebrated Father's Day. We had a nice day just relaxing and hanging out. It was nice to spend the day celebrating the wonderful dad's we had with us. Dad is great and has always been a huge support and loving person in all our lives.

Dad all your girls love you so much.

Ethan got to tell his daddy thank you for being a great dad. Ethan loves his daddy so much and it is so wonderful to watch them interact and play with each other. They have a GREAT bond.
We hope you all had a wonderful father's day weekend. We certainly did.

Ethan's First Haircut

Happy Saturday. Today Ethan got his first haircut. His hair was getting a little out of control. The curls were everywhere, and he had bangs that were in his eyes. He went to our hairdresser Little Patty who did an amazing job cutting his hair while he squirmed and was bribed by his parents with cookies to sit still. Now he looks like a handsome little boy.

If you are bored or just want to check out more photos of Ethan's first haircut, feel free to check the other Dufour blog. This is the DuFour family blog, the other one is Amanda's blog with her random thoughts and musings.
Have great weekend everyone!

Aunt and Uncle

Growing up both my younger sisters used to complain that I got to do everything first. I got to stay up later, got to date, got married first and then I had a baby first. Well one thing that they both beat me in was becoming an Auntie. That will be over soon, I am going to be an auntie and I am soo excited, and Chris is excited to be an uncle for the first time.
Samantha and I threw a baby shower for Emili and Madison a couple of weeks ago. We had a great time.

There was awesome food. I wanted to make a cute cake, but ran out of time. So instead I ordered a Costco cake plain and decorated it for Madi. I think it came out pretty cute.

I took a picture of these little tart things. My mom made them and I thought they were awesome, so I took a picture. It had melting white chocolate drizzled over it. YUMMY.

Our good family friend from Las Vegas, Lauren, came out and surprised us all. Can you believe that I used to babysit her when she was little. I am getting old and man do I look short!

Ethan is excited to have a cousin soon. He and Auntie Sam helped unwrap some gifts and he was excited (he just might not be aware that it is not for him).

He loves his cousing Madi so much, already, that he tried to snuggle with her by sleeping on Auntie Emili's belly. So cute.

Overall it was a fabulous day and Emili and Walt got lots of wonderful things for Madison. I can't wait to be an Auntie!
