Where did the time go

This past weekend Chris and I celebrated our five year anniversary. I can't believe we have been married for five years...the time has flown by. So much has happened in that time and we have grown closer to together has the time has gone on. All in all we have known each other for nine years and in less than two months it will be nine year in total that we have been together.

So what did we do to celebrate our anniversary? Well it went like this...
Thursday night Chris told me that my dad was coming in the morning to pick-up Ethan up for the weekend. Chris almost didn't tell me that part, but good thing he did. You don't surprise a momma by sending her kid away for the weekend and not let her say good bye. :) So Friday I went to work like normal and Ethan went to grandma and grandpa's (he had a great time playing, getting spoiled and playing with his baby cousin Madi). Friday night Chris and I went to dinner and a movie, a late movie. Not sure the last time we saw a movie let alone a late movie.
Saturday was our actual anniversary and Chris surprised me by taking me to the same hotel we went on our wedding night, The Hilton Mission Bay. It is a beautiful hotel. We went to a cute little Mexican restaurant for dinner and had some killer dessert.

Overall we had a wonderful relaxing time. Next blog...what did Ethan do while we were out?

Auntie Miller comes to town

My great Aunt, Diane, came to visit my parents house and my grandma. So we made the trip up to my families to see everyone. We had a wonderful time with everyone under one roof for a while hanging out. This was the first time Auntie met Madison and see had not seen Ethan since he was a tiny little baby. Here are some photos from our weekend trip.

While we were there we went to the church my parents attend and the had a guest speaker. The guest speaker was my youth pastor when I was in high school. It was really cool to see him again and hear his great message.

My Grandma and Great Aunt

Too much craziness going on here.

We also took a few pictures of Ethan to commemorate his 18 month birthday. We can't believe he is that old already. Our little guy is growing up so quickly.

Four generations.

The cutest cousins ever!! Ethan is so curious about Madison.

Me (Auntie Mandi) and Madison. I love my little niece so much.

We had a very fun yet relaxing weekend. We always do when we go up there. It was a great way for me to spend the last bit of time I had off before heading back to work.

Visitors from a far away place

A couple of weeks ago we had the pleasure of having Chris's sister, Jolene and her husband David come to visit us. They are currently living and teaching English in South Korea. They moved there when last summer when Ethan was only four months old and we have not seen them since they left. So it was so much fun to see them. Since they had not been back to the States in over a year, they had lots of obligations and people to see so we did not get to see for a long time, but we are so great for the time we did get to see them.

While they were here we got some tasty Mexican food (not so popular in Korea) and went to the beach at Coronado. We had a great time playing in the surf and taking photos to remember this trip. We miss them so much and wish them the best on their continued time in Korea.
